Taylor Egan
Taylor Egan is thrilled to be teaching and making music with the students of the R.L. Turner Choirs! This is his first year as a full time educator. Mr. Egan completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Brigham Young University in Utah, and graduated from Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas.
Mr. Egan is an accomplished choral singer, composer and conductor. He has sung with the world-renowned Brigham Young University Singers, under the direction of Dr. Andrew Crane. With BYU Singers he had the opportunity to sing all over the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean. He has also sung with the Utah Symphony Chorus and is a current member of Dallas-based ensemble Orpheus Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. JD Burnett. In 2022 Mr. Egan co-founded the Utah ensemble Santos Chamber Singers, where he served as assistant conductor and composer-in-residence. Santos was selected to sing at the Utah ACDA conference in October 2023, where they premiered one of Mr. Egan’s newest choral works.
Outside of music, Mr. Egan loves cooking, reading, birds, dogs, and spending time with his wife, Molly.
